Our client in the process industry is seeking an experienced consultant with expertise in demand forecasting and the SAP IBP solution. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in improving the S&OP process by increasing automation, streamlining workflows, and allocating planning resources to tasks with the most potential for business growth. Your key responsibility will be to enhance the existing statistical demand forecast, currently implemented within the SAP IBP system.

Key tasks:

Assess the current state of the existing demand forecasting methodology
Evaluate the feasibility of providing more accurate statistical demand forecasts at different hierarchy levels (SKU/channel/region/...)
Based on the above assessments, make recommendations for improvements to both the methodology and the lifecycle management of the forecasting model
Implement the proposed enhancements within the SAP IBP environment
Work closely with the team to design the demand planning process, ensuring optimal utilization of the improved statistical demand forecasts in the S&OP process

Key requirements:

Proven experience in developing and implementing statistical forecasting tools in business processes
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, including time series forecasting and machine learning
Experience and working knowledge of the SAP IBP solution
Previous experience in demand planning and S&OP processes within the process or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
