Our client plans to create a one-of-a-kind production facility for eco-friendly fuel. Sweden has the ideal combination of electricity and biomass supply, as well as suitable land areas. As a result, AFRY has been requested to provide multidisciplinary services, including integrating local codes and regulations into the project specifications and plot plan. We are currently seeking a discipline lead for "Industrial Coating & Insulation". Your main responsibility will be to identify any relevant local conditions, statutory laws, regulations, and requirements that need to be considered and incorporated into the project specifications. You will also be required to attend Discipline Kick Off Meetings (DKOM), which last approximately half a day, to review sample drawings and deliverables from the FEED process (taken from similar projects). The purpose of these meetings is to facilitate proactive discussions with the client to identify any potential impacts of local laws and regulations on the standard project design. The outcomes of these meetings will be documented in an action list table and follow-up will be necessary during the specification check (see below). The client's initial draft of the project specifications, based on their experience in developing energy industrial plants, will consist of a set of documents that will be listed and briefly described. After incorporating local codes and requirements, this set of documents will form the complete project specifications, ensuring the project is designed in compliance with local laws. Our workflow for this process is as follows: 1. Read and understand the documents (clarifications with the client may be necessary) 2. Identify any applicable local codes for each document 3. Edit the document by adding the list of relevant local codes 4. Highlight any parts affected by local codes and provide relevant extracts from those codes 5. Provide technical comments based on local codes, including clarifying the applicability of local codes, the need to implement a certain requirement, and the standard interpretation of a local requirement 6. Confirm the compliance of any uncommented paragraphs with local codes 7. In relation to local codes, highlight any missing parts (such as paragraphs, requirements, formulas, standard drawings, or any technical subjects applicable to the project) 8. Propose the development of any missing specific parts or parts that require significant modifications 9. Develop any part requested or approved by the client 10. Actively participate in resolving any comments from the client 11. Review a second revision of the document, incorporating agreed modifications to ensure full compliance with local codes
